Mr Alan Thomas

Alan is from Wales and graduated from Sheffield University. He trained in Queensland, Wales, and the North Trent and West Midland regions. He completed his subspecialty training in Upper Gastrointestinal and Obesity Surgery at The Northern General and The Royal Hallamshire Hospitals in Sheffield, and Fremantle Hospital.

Having attained a Diploma in Medical Law from Northumbria University he returned to Western Australia in 2004 to take up a post at Fremantle Hospital as a Specialist Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon. His main interests are oesophagogastric malignancies, laparoscopic treatment of morbid obesity, giant hiatus hernias & reflux disease, and the endoscopic management of oesophagogastric conditions.
